DAVID AP THOMAS paints (mostly) still-lifes. There is something quiet & unassuming about the careful study of inconsequential objects that can produce work of formal pleasure & strange monumentality. Drawing is central to the process. Sometimes it’s about taking the ungraspable flood of sensation of being alive & rendering it in gobbets of paint. Sometimes it's just painting pictures. (Much of the work on theses pages is for sale. If you are interested in buying then please do get in touch. I can post if necessary, otherwise visitors are always welcome at Junction Workshop but please contact me first) |
